What should I do?!
I understand that life happens, families are busy, and I completely respect that. The children will not be asked to do much, but reading every night for about 20 minutes is always going to make your child a better reader and writer. Reading with your children is highly encouraged. We also may have math occasionally. This will be dependent on how far we get in the lesson each day. I encourage you to work with your child as much as you can, whether they are reading, working on math, or doing a different project in order to help them get better. Being involved, encouraging them, and making it a positive experience will help build their confidence in their learning and help them to become better readers, writers, and mathematicians. Math can be turned in in the turn-in bin each morning before breakfast and they may log their reading minutes in their binder (to be signed each day).
